The year 2021 is a special year for ISERCO. Indeed, it marks its 40 years of existence in the bulk handling industry. For 40 years, the company has been at the service of its customers to advise them and offer them solutions adapted to their needs.
ISERCO was founded in 1981 by Michel HAQUETTE, who wanted to import his knowledge of bin activators into France, the knowledge he had acquired during his experience in the company SOLITEC in England.
The only activity of ISERCO during its first years was the production of bin activators. Since then, the company has developed and diversified, with the creation of ranges oriented towards the handling of bulk materials in silos, big bags, and bags.
In 1984, the first ISERCO production building was built. It is in the industrial zone of Gondecourt, in the North of France. It was a building with a surface of 800 m². This area was doubled 3 years later.
In 1991, the company moved into a new building specially designed to produce bin activators in series. This building still hosts ISERCO’s workshops.
In 1993, ISERCO innovates in standard and creates a bolted sealing between silo and extractor for the bin activators.
In 1996, ISERCO’s first export partnership was established with AGRICHEMA GmbH & Co. This partnership still exists today.
In 2000, the company filed the international patent CAO 2000 for a range of mass-produced bin activators. It is a bin activator delivered preassembled as standard and designed by computer.
Since the arrival of the euro in 2002, the share of the company’s activity in exports has only increased. The single currency has in fact made it possible to promote trade with European countries. Transaction costs are lower and the movement of people and merchandise within the eurozone is easier.
An additional production hall was built in 2005, to accommodate a so-called “white” workshop, exclusively for stainless steel. The separation of the manufacturing of carbon steel equipment from that of stainless steel equipment allows avoiding the contamination of stainless steel by carbon steel.
The years 2009 and 2013 mark a turning point in the modernization of the equipment used for production. ISERCO invests in the purchase of a BYSTRONIC laser, to optimize sheet metal cutting. The company then acquires KUKA welding robots, with MIG and Plasma technology.
It was also in 2013 that a major innovation appeared in the range of big bag filling stations designed by ISERCO. It is the release of the first prototypes of the CLEAN CONNECT, a sealing system by pinching the sleeve of the big bag whose role is to ensure the filling without loss of product. The CLEAN CONNECT has been improved over time and is now widely adopted by customers.
Changing of an image in 2015, the new logo of the company carries high the values of the company)
In 2014, a second life for ISERCO, the relay is taken by Mr. Antoine DEWITTE. The objective remains the same: designing and manufacturing high-quality equipment suitable for each application.
In the following years, the company exports more and more. In 2015, 70% of the company’s turnover was generated from export.
In 2019, the company is acquiring a FARO® FOCUS 3D scanner for the engineering department. This is a device that allows precise measurements to be taken on-site for the implementation of a future installation. This is to assist the engineering department in the design of the installation, which will be perfectly integrated at the customer’s site.
The year 2020 opens a new chapter for ISERCO. The company creates its subsidiary named MP2S (Mineral Pickling Stainless Steel). It offers a unique service: the treatment of stainless steel surfaces by SUBLIMOTION-process®. A process was chosen as a sustainable alternative to the use of toxic acids is usually used in stainless steel pickling.
With the development of new activities in the company, it was necessary to expand the premises. A new building was built to accommodate the head office, a showroom, the SUBLIMOTION-process®, and a part dedicated to automation. In January 2021, the head office moved in, right next to the ISERCO production building.
ISERCO has been accumulating experience in the bulk industry for 40 years. The company has been able to adapt to technological advances and to innovate internally to improve its equipment. Over the past 40 years, the company has built relationships with customers around the world. The company still tends to develop, with the imminent arrival of a pole exclusively reserved for the automatism.
